I am an animal lover and have a dog & cat, both rescues from Lebanon. I share my dwelling with my son at this time as he was very ill in 2020 and hospitalized for 143 days. He had been in his own apartment for 5 years before becoming ill. However because he was hospitalized for so long in 2020 he could not live alone. He is now healthy and remains with me as our rent is quite substantial in order to keep our animals. As well, we are hosting a student from India who is seeking his permanent residence. He will most likely move to Ontario in the next few months. He has been with us for 15 months and he is like a son to me. Am a writer, artist nature lover and patient. I am not possessive. Laughter is so important. Have worked for some 40 years in the non-profit sector in Montreal, Quebec. 26 years as Exec. director of a women's shelter for women in difficulty, including the homeless, & the lonely. Women who suffer from drug and or/alcohol abuse, gambling, and mental health illnesses. Have also worked with street men for 3 years in another centre as Exec. director. I have worked with young children, teens, young mothers and seniors. In addition to working in the community & health & social services sector, I have worked in the business world which provided me with an excellent basis for my work in the community. I am retired but am always busy. I write poetry, wrote a book still to be published, create art and love people. I always look for the positive in everything. Looking for someone who is honest, loyal and not possessive, If a relationship turns into love trust is the most important aspect and each person should feel able to do things on their own or with their friends without feeling guilty. We don't own the other person, rather we should compliment them.
